Raw Mode

Nano Banana Pro 2 does not ship a “raw mode” toggle—how to get flatter, more literal output with prompts and negatives.

No raw mode in this product

Some generators offer raw or beautify-off modes. The Nano Banana Pro 2 editor does not. Outputs always go through the model’s normal rendering path.

Getting a “raw” look anyway

Ask for it in language the model understands:

  • “Natural color, avoid overcooked HDR, no plastic skin, preserve real texture.”
  • “Documentary honesty, flat contrast, ungraded log-like shadows.”
  • Pair with negative prompts only for specific defects you see (extra fingers, watermark words), not vague “bad quality.”

Google’s guidance on semantic negatives (describe the empty/desired scene) helps here too—see Negative prompts and the official image generation doc.

Post-production

If you need full control, generate at the highest resolution your model allows, then grade in Lightroom, Resolve, or Photoshop.

  • Stylize for how presets interact with “interpretive” looks.
  • Quality for resolution tiers (1K / 2K / 4K) in this app.
